After over 20 years I was an executive recently laid off & my former company offered me outplacement services thru a national company.

After their first meeting, it was quickly apparent this was simply a ‘cattle call’ to process me thru their website (I guess for billing purposes).  Then when I was assigned a consultant(over the phone), found out the consultant was managing over 120 employees.  I was done!

I contacted our HR Department to request to seek services outside (with the same contract price) the company.  They agreed.
